Ber Months Marketing Plan Philippines: Plan Christmas Backwards With AI
It is late October, and if your Christmas plan is still "post more and hope", mid-December will be a panic. Picture instead a December where your last-order date is posted, your stock is ordered and your staff know their days off. This article shows you how to get there by working backwards from the dates that cannot move, with a copy-paste AI prompt and a week-by-week shape.
The season is long, but the money comes late
The Philippine season runs from September to early January, but shoppers do not spend evenly across it. In a December 2025 release, Visa said December is the peak month for card transactions and that domestic card spending peaks on December 23 (Visa PH). Visa gave no percentages, so use this for timing, not size. Pay matters too. Under PD 851, employers must pay 13th-month pay on or before December 24, and DOLE reminded employers of this in December 2025 (Daily Tribune). If you have staff, that also hits your own cash flow, and DOLE Advisory No. 004-08 asks for a compliance report by January 15.
The dates that set your calendar
Start with the official 2026 holidays in Proclamation No. 1006. These are the days couriers, suppliers and staff are likely off:
- Nov 1 (Sunday, All Saints' Day) and Nov 2 (Monday, All Souls' Day): Undas, both special non-working days.
- Dec 8 (Tuesday): special non-working day.
- Dec 24 (Thursday): additional special non-working day. Dec 25 (Friday) and Dec 30 (Wednesday, Rizal Day): regular holidays. Dec 31 (Thursday): special non-working day.
Proclamations can be amended, so recheck in November. Simbang Gabi runs December 16 to 24 and matters if you sell food near a church. For 11.11 and 12.12, we could not verify 2026 dates or seller deadlines from an official source, so read the campaign calendar inside Shopee Seller Centre or Lazada Seller Center, not blog calendars.
Back-plan from the fixed dates
Write the immovable dates first: supplier lead time, last courier pickup, December 23 and 24, and the December 25 and 30 closures. Then count backwards. A workable shape: October for stock, packaging and supplier deadlines; early November for Undas and 11.11 offers and corporate gifts; late November for your gift guide, bundles and pre-orders; early December for 12.12 and last-order dates; December 16 to 23 for fulfilment and reminders only; from December 26, clearance. Put your numbers in Google Sheets, then paste this into a free AI chat assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini:
"I run a [type of business] in [city]. My products or services: [list]. My real daily capacity: [number]. Supplier lead time: [days]. Staff days off: [dates]. Courier last pickup: [date]. Work backwards from December 24 and give me a week-by-week calendar from October to January, with one task per line and an owner for each."
Then edit the result. Delete anything you cannot actually deliver.
Draft offers and messages with AI
Ask for two or three gift bundles at set price points, a corporate-gift offer with a minimum order and a lead time, a pre-order post, a last-order-date post, and a polite "fully booked" reply for Messenger and Viber. Ask for the reply in Taglish if that is how your customers talk. One rule: never publish a discount or delivery promise from AI without checking it against your real prices and your real courier. A confident draft is still only a draft.
Ask what could go wrong, not what will sell
AI cannot forecast your demand. It can only organise what you already know. So instead of "how much will I sell?", ask: "List what could go wrong between November and December 24 for my business: stock-outs, staff leave, packaging shortages, late couriers, refunds." Give each risk one fix and one owner. Order stock from your own last-year records plus a small buffer. If a chatbot's number is higher than your records, trust your records.
Publish your cut-off dates
If you ship, customers need a last-order date, and it has to be yours. We could not verify any 2026 holiday cut-off for LBC, J&T Express or SPX (Shopee Xpress), so do not copy a date from a blog. Read each courier's own announcement or seller app notice, then publish a date a few days earlier than their last pickup. Put it in a pinned post, your page bio, your Messenger greeting, your Viber broadcast and your shop banner on Shopee or Lazada.
Expect pricier ads, and cap them
Ads often cost more in Q4 because more advertisers compete for the same feeds. Geist tracked Meta CPMs (the price per 1,000 ad views) up about 11% in the second half of November 2025, with food and beverage up 42%. That data does not say it covers the Philippines, so treat it as a warning, not a forecast. Set a daily cap in Meta Ads Manager before November, and lean on organic posts, past customers and your Viber and Messenger lists.
Keep January alive
Visa's same release found overseas card spending by Filipinos peaking around December 28 to 29, so the festive mood does not stop on the 25th. Plan a clearance, New Year offers and a thank-you offer for December buyers, and schedule staff early around the December 30 and 31 holidays. Then note what sold out and what stayed on the shelf, because that list is the start of next year's plan.
Frequently asked questions
When should a Philippine small business start its Christmas marketing?
Start planning in September or October, but expect most buying late. Visa reported in December 2025 that December is the peak month for card transactions and that domestic card spending peaks on December 23. Use October for supply, packaging and pre-orders, November for gift guides and bundles, and December for fulfilment and reminders.
When is the deadline for 13th-month pay in the Philippines?
Under PD 851, employers must pay 13th-month pay on or before December 24, and DOLE repeated this in December 2025. DOLE Advisory No. 004-08 also asks for a compliance report to the nearest DOLE Regional Office by January 15 each year. Confirm the current-year advisory at dole.gov.ph.
Which holidays affect my shop's Christmas schedule in 2026?
Per Proclamation No. 1006: Nov 1 and Nov 2 are special non-working days, Dec 8 is special non-working, Dec 24 is an additional special non-working day, Dec 25 and Dec 30 are regular holidays, and Dec 31 is special non-working. Couriers and suppliers often adjust around these, so check their own notices.
Can AI predict how much I will sell this Christmas?
No. AI can organise your own sales history, capacity and dates into a plan and list risks, but it cannot see your demand. Use last year's records for stock and keep a small buffer. Do not order more because a chatbot sounded sure.
What last-order date should I tell customers?
Get your courier's own holiday pickup and cut-off announcement (LBC, J&T, SPX or your rider), then publish a date a few days earlier than their last pickup. No 2026 courier cut-off could be verified for this article, so do not copy a date from a blog.
Will my Facebook ads cost more in November and December?
Often. Geist tracked Meta CPMs up about 11% in the second half of November 2025, and 42% for food and beverage advertisers, but its data is not Philippines-specific. Set a daily cap and rely more on past customers, organic posts and your Messenger and Viber lists.
