Getting on the list

It starts with a post, an ad, or a friend who forwards it to you. Wherever you see it, the next step is the same: DM the word "LIST" to @partylifemnl on Instagram. That is the whole sign-up. If you have a question before you buy, ask it in the same thread.

We reply with a link, and the link takes you to your ticket. It is ₱1,500, and that includes two drinks. The night is 21 and over, and the room is capped at eighty guests, so when it is full, it is full.

Refunds are open until 48 hours before the night. After that, your place is set, and we keep it for you.

The day before

From the start you know the night will be at a rooftop or cocktail bar in BGC or Makati. The exact venue is revealed the day before, by message, to everyone holding a ticket.

We do it this way for two reasons. It keeps the room to the people who signed up, and it turns the reveal into part of the night. Every Party Life issue has a venue on its cover, and as a guest you are among the first to know which one.

Plan to arrive close to doors. The introductions happen early, and the first round is the easiest one to join. If you are running late, come anyway, because the room mixes again before ten.

Doors at eight

Doors open at 8. When you arrive, a host meets you with a drink in hand. You will not spend your first ten minutes at the bar trying to look busy.

Within those first ten minutes, the host introduces you to people. We put guests into groups of three and four, small enough to have a real conversation and big enough that nobody is stuck. By ten o'clock the room has mixed twice, so you will have met at least two different groups before the night is properly under way.

Then the night is yours. Your two drinks are included and the bar is open for anything after that. The music sits at a level you can talk over. The hosts keep moving around the room, so if you want to meet someone new, you only have to catch an eye.

The hosts are the people in the room whose night is about yours. They know who has arrived, who came alone and who has not been introduced yet, and they keep going until everyone has.

Coming alone

Coming alone is the normal way to come. A lot of nights out are built for groups who arrive together and leave together. This one is built for the person who walks in on their own and would like to leave knowing a few more people.

If you do bring a friend, that is welcome too. Just expect the host to split you up, kindly, at least once. You can compare notes at the end. Nobody needs a wingman here, because the host does that job.

A few things to have with you on the night:

  • Your ticket, on your phone.
  • A valid ID that shows you are 21 or over.
  • The venue message from the day before, with the address.
  • Something to say when someone asks how you heard about it.

The morning after

The next morning, we send the recap. Guests are the story of every Party Life issue, and the recap is built around the people who were in the room, so you may find yourself in it.

Everyone who came also gets first pick of the next issue, before tickets open to anyone else. And because readers choose the next cover venue by DM, you have a say in where that next night happens.

That is the whole night: a DM, a ticket, a reveal, a host at the door, and a room that mixes. If you would like to be one of the eighty for Issue 01, DM "LIST" to @partylifemnl.
